I was deeply saddened to learn of Pete's passing. He was a true friend and loyal supporter during my time as First Selectman. Pete's love of his family and his community is reflected in the exceptional service he gave to East Lyme. He inspired me with his great knowledge of American history and geneology. Thank you, Pete, for sharing a life well lived with us. Good-by, friend.

He had so many important facts in his head, and he could tell you so many things, A virtual font of knowledge, a wry sense of humor and just a nice, compassionate man. He will be missed, our deepest sympathy to the entire family. Don and Athena Cone

"Pete" Hunt has been welcomed into the arms of God. The best one can say about a good man is that he will be missed by family and friends. He gave his friendship firmly and often offered words of wisdom. I feel fortunate to be counted as one of his friends.
