Francis Laliberte Obituary
He was born Feb. 17, 1922, in Rutland, the son of David and Mary (Lorette) Laliberte.
He was a 1941 graduate of Rutland High School.
For many years, Mr. Laliberte was employed by Central Vermont Public Service as a meter reader.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and Christ the King Church.
Mr. Laliberte enjoyed making marble jewelry and operated Laliberte Marble Gems.
Survivors include two sons, Francis Laliberte of West Rutland and Thomas Laliberte of Mendon; a brother, Lawrence Laliberte Sr. of Rutland; four granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Ruth (Petty) Laliberte, in 1982; a brother, the Rev. William Laliberte; two sisters, Marie Laliberte and Anne Fuller.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Clifford Funeral Home, where calling hours will begin at 11 a.m. before the service officiated by the Rev. Justin Baker, pastor of Christ the King Church.
Burial will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rutland County Humane Society, 765 Stevens Road, Pittsford, VT 05763; or The Meadows Employees Sunshine Fund, 157 Heritage Hill Place, Rutland, VT 05701.
