I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. It's been many many years since I went to Boston with my mother to visit. But, I remember the visit well. The pool, the first time I had I had quiche, Aunt Barbara, Uncle Frank and my cousins. I had hoped to come and visit and reconnect with all of you and I hope to still. There's so much to talk about.

My deepest sympathies to the Poitrast Family. I heard of his passing today. He was the consummate justice who saved his warm heart for children. He helped countless children through his thoughtful decisions and fearless advocacy. I am lucky to have had the chance to witness his dedication and compassion first hand. He leaves an indelible mark.

I , like many others, owe my twenty- year career to Judge Poitrast. He instilled in me a belief that it is our responsibility to stand in the shoes and to do our best for the kids of the Commonwealth. It was not important that we do things his way so much, but that we always give it our individual best. I know he will be missed, but to a large measure he is such an integral part of everything we continue to do for children and families that he will live on in the large legacy he has left. I am in Portugal doing a presentation at the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect that I dedicate to Judge Poitrast.

My deepest sympathy to Chief Justice Poitrast's family. He will always be remembered by those of us who came before him and were taught by him. Everyday his presence and legacy is remembered.
Most importantly, the families and
children of the Commonwealth have
lost a champion. Thank you to the

Dear Barbara and Boys,

I am so sorry to hear of Frank's passing from Chris today. I have very fond memories of The Judge, especially at Thanksgiving time. Being with the Pollock-Poitrast's at Thanksgiving were great times. I wish I could be with you but other committment will kept me here. We will remember Frank in our prayers. Nancy Pollock

Aunt Barbara,
We are all so sad about Uncle Frank. I will miss his dry humor. I will always remember when he and all of my cousins tried to convince us all that we were eating chicken instead of turkey for Thanksgiving. May he be in peace this Thanksgiving.
All our Love, Terri, Keith, Brian, Brenton and Katherine

To all the Poitrast Family: Paul and I want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, I will always remember how wonderful you were to me during my teenage years babysitting for the boys- but, my best memory was when you introduced me to my first lobster while staying with you on the Cape. Our love and prayers are with you. Pat and Paul Garipay.
