Francis Studer Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 26, 2025.
Francis Earl Studer, 89, of Carrollton, Texas, passed away May 23rd, 2025.

Francis was born in Birthright, Hopkins County, Texas on July 17th, 1935, to Carl C. and Ella C. Studer. He graduated from W.H. Adamson High School in Oak Cliff, Texas. Francis married Judith K. Studer on July 18th, 1998; they were married almost 27 years.

After high school, Francis worked as a Factory Representative for Chance Vought Aircraft. He was a business owner and worked as a Construction Foreman until he retired in 1991. Francis was a world champion domino player having won local, regional and national competitions. His photo hangs in the Texas Domino Hall of Fame. Francis also loved everything about automobiles, including drag racing and modifying engines. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan 'back in the day', when they were truly America's team. Francis built a large circle of friends in high school and across a variety of pastimes throughout his life. He really enjoyed spending time with them and reminiscing about the good 'ole days.

Francis was gentle and warm; a devoted husband who cared deeply for his loved ones and had strong bonds with his friends. He had a wide range of interests and knowledge, loved to share stories and was always eager to help others when he could. He faced and overcame many challenges through the years with unwavering determination, strength and courage. Francis will be dearly missed and will always be remembered for his sweet smile, generous heart and kind soul.

Francis is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ella C. Studer, his half-brother, Charles Studer and his first wife, Faye Studer.

Francis is survived by his loving wife, Judith, his sister, Terry L. Sutton (Jim), his stepdaughter, Rebecca K. Henry (Timothy), and granddaughter, Skylar M. Henry. He is also survived by his nephew, nieces, many other family members and friends.

A visitation for Francis will be held Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, 5pm-7pm and the funeral service will be May 29th, 2025, at 4pm, Rhoton Funeral Home, Carrollton, Texas.
