TIERNEY, Francis (Frank) Rene
May 7, 1930 – January 3, 2015
With family at his side, Frank passed away very peacefully at Burnaby General Hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning. Predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth in July of 2012, Frank will be dearly remembered by his children Lynne, Robert, Kevin. Grandchildren Jordan, Laura, Steven, Natasha, Kelsey, Jesse. Step-grandchildren Lily, Poppy. In his final days he held our hands, gave us hugs, and even sang to us. He left us smiling. He left peacefully. As an avid Rock hound and life member of the Richmond Rock Club, and a proud member of St. Mary's Parish, Frank will be remembered by his many friends. Over the past two years the joy of his life was the time he spent with staff and clients at the Collingwood Seniors Program. He will be deeply missed. Family would like to thank the staff at Collingwood and at Burnaby General Hospital for such wonderful care and compassion. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday January 13, 2015 at St. Mary's Church, 5251 Joyce Street, Vancouver, B.C. at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Gardens of Gethsemani at 2 p.m. 15800 32nd Avenue, Surrey, B.C. In Lieu of flowers, donations to Burnaby Hospital Foundation.
