In memory of
Jessica Faustino, Isaia
February 10, 2009
We moved to CA when I was at a very young age so my memory of Frankie was Vague. I always remembered Frankie as the nice man that owned the store. That was the perception of a young child.
A few years ago (many years later) I got reunited with my good friend, Frankie's daughter Diane. We were talking one day and I asked "does your dad still own that store?" Diane said "Store? what store what are you talking about?"
I replied, "well I don't know I just remember every time I went over to the house with my cousins Joanne Amy, Karen, he would always give us candy, soda, or ice cream. I thought he owned a store and that is why he gave us stuff. He was so nice"
Diane laughed and told me, "no he never owned a store but yes he is always giving that is the way he is. He always buys extra in case someone stopped by"
Then as we continued to talk over the days, months I started to know Frankie as the man he was now thru his daughters eyes.
He was a kind and supportive father and grandfather, and husband.
He was a man that would do anything to make his wife happy.
He was the pizza deliver man. Every Friday night delivering pizza to Diane and mathew, Erica and the kids, bringing it home for Jennifer, joshua and Mary and for anyone else who wanted to stop by. I can not count the number of times I was told, "oh hold on my dad is here with our pizza." You could count on it.
I thought wow what a nice guy, how cool is that.
Then as time passsed I heard about his "after holiday shopping sprees" buying up all the clearence items candy, ortaments, christmas tree lights, you name it Frankie was out getting all the deals so that for the following years holiday if anyone needed something it would be there at Frankies good for the asking. I found this to be increadible. I don't know anyone else who does this. What a thoughtful man, is all I could say.
As I read some of the other enties of memories about Frankie I see he has been this kind and giving man his whole life. Its no wonder he left a lasting impression a little girl that hardly knew him.
Frankie Trelegan, until we meet again, you will be missed by many. God bless you on your journey to the other side.
God Bless Mary, and his girls and grandchildren through this trying period of time. Please find peace in knowing the soul is everlasting and Frankie will be watching over all of you.
My heart, tears, thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
love,
Jessica (Faustino) Isaia & family.

I was so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. My family and I feel so sorry for your family. I always remember Frank as happy and loving life! He loved his family so...I think Karen was right on about Frank. Now he's with all of us.

Mary, my thoughts are with you. Ruthie and myself loved Frank, such a decent guy. When my Dad died, we used this poem, sad but comforting. Do not stand on my grave and weep. I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow: I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush. I am the swift uplifting rush. Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there. I did not die.

What I remember when I think of Frankie:
Nights of card games around each of our tables
Calling dibs to get into the back of Frankie's wagon
The driver side always having a cup holder of throat spray
Frankie's stash of junk of food
Frankie making sure each of us had a cabbage patch doll and roller skates
Frankie always giving us the school shoes we wanted-despite what our parents said
Frankie making sure we all had the newest Nike sneakers
Frankie buying one of every sticker on the Cape for the Twins
Frankie and my dad always sticking up of us no matter what
Frankie sharing his collection of everything up in the attic with us
Frankie helping us make jiffy Pop in a camp up in Maine
Frankie laughing when Diane covered her frog with a towel when it was raining even though it was in a bucket of water already -"just so it wouldn't get wet"
Frankie being very proud of girls
Frankie always helping us no matter what
Frankie always being able to be one of us kids even though he was a grown-up
God Bless you Frankie - tell Dad and Mrs. B we said Hi - and remember - when playing cards - laugh really loud - you deserve that.

Frank was a great person and it was a pleasure working with him at The Salem News. He had that laugh that would make you laugh just hearing it. I will miss him truly and my condolences to his family.
