Francis Visalli Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 8, 2025.
Francis J. (Frank) Visalli passed away peacefully with his family surrounding him on May 6, 2025. He was 87 years old.

Frank was born on September 19, 1937 and grew up in Belmont, MA. He attended Boston College High School and Boston College (Double Eagle) as well as Loyola School of Dentistry in Chicago, IL where he became a DDS. He married his high school sweetheart, Madelyn, and raised four children in Lexington, MA while having a successful dental practice in nearby Watertown. Frank always loved to give back to the community, and was a member and former president of the Watertown Rotary Club. He had a strong catholic faith and was a lector and eucharistic minister at Sacred Heart Church in Lexington for many years. Affectionately known as "Doc" to his friends, you could often find him on a golf course, tinkering around with his antique car, or relishing in his love of travel. He enjoyed his lunch dates with the guys, watching his beloved Patriots play football, and spending time cooking for his Sunday family dinners.

Frank took care of Madelyn during a long term illness. When she passed, he met and married his wife Christine. Together, they spent winters in FL and took many exciting trips, until finally settling in Punta Gorda, FL full time. They loved going out to different restaurants and visiting Fisherman's Village and Ponce De Leon Park. Frank and Christine enjoyed this chapter in their lives immensely, and lived, laughed and loved together with their families and friends for many cherished years.

Frank is predeceased by his wife, Madelyn, his parents Isabella and Anthony Visalli, his sister Frances Guarino, and his brother John Visalli. He is also predeceased by his in-laws Vincent and Gladys DiSilva, brother's and sister's in-laws Jack and Dolores MacDonnell, Robert Stocki, Alexander DiSilva, and Joan and William Vrettas.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Visalli, and his children Anthony and Karin Visalli, Christine and Steven Wyrsch, Shelly Visalli and Tom Ruggerio, and Joan and John Leitner. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Guy Guarino and sister-in-law Marie Stocki. Frank is the loving grandpa of Katie, Natalie (Kyle), Michael, Jessica (Brett), Nicole (Ronald), Ryan, Luke (Melissa), Joseph, Alaina (Mason), Jake, and Madelyn. He is great-grandfather to Isaac, Nora, Carly, Casey, Avery, and soon-to-be baby Connolly. He was loved by many nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Inspired Living at Sun City Center for their love and devotion in caring for Frank. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America (alz.org).

5/13/25 Update: A celebration of life mass for Frank will be held Saturday, June 7th at 10 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 90 Concord Rd, Bedford, MA 01730.

Burial will immediately follow at Westview Cemetery, 520 Bedford St, Lexington, MA 02420. All are welcome.
