I worked with Paco in the early 60's at the State Department. He was a Spanish Interpreter and a very good one. I also knew his wife, Martha. He was devastated when she died as were all of their friends.
Paco had a wonderful sense of humor, loved life, cared about everyone. Me, I was a lowly secretary who he adopted and became my "older" brother. I have so many wonderful memories of him. I cried when I read he had died.
Now, two of my favorite people from the Department of Language Services, US Department of State have died this year, Don Barnes and now Paco.
Paco, yes, you can take me to lunch any time on pay day in Heaven.
