Josephine Alires Obituary
Josephine, age 98, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2015. She was born in Bernalillo, New Mexico on February 24, 1917 to Santiago and Josepha Lucero. She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-four years, Ted F. Alires. Josephine is survived by her daughter Barbara Morales; granddaughter Terry Morales; and grandson Michael Morales of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Josephine retired from the County Clerks Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. One of her proud accomplishments was serving as President of the Spanish American Branch Relief Society from 1946-1968. Josephine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.
A viewing will be held on Thursday July 16, 2015 at 10:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1100 Montano Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, with a service to follow at 11:00 am.
