Frank Joseph Brancato passed away on February 10, 2023, at the age of 69. Frank was born on May 28, 1953, in Kansas City, Missouri to Salvatore and Rose (Cusumano) Brancato. Frank was the second oldest in a family of six children.
At a young age, Frank worked at Roma Bakery for his grandfather Joseph Cusumano whom he adored. He attended De LaSalle High School, and upon its closing, graduated from St. Mary’s High School. At 17 years old, he was introduced to the girl who would become his wife of 49 years, Teresa Jean Spino. They would have three children Roselyn, Sam, and Frances “Franie”.
Frank joined Local 124 IBEW at 20 years old and was a commercial electrician until his retirement. He loved his job and would often have men from other trades stop him to say hello. He wouldn’t always remember their names, but they always remembered his.
Frank’s family was everything. He would do anything for his wife and children. He was elated when he became a grandfather. He could not spoil his three granddaughters enough and they knew they had “Papa” wrapped around their fingers. They were truly the apple of his eye.
Frank was one of a kind. He loved to joke with friends and family. You could always find him at QuikTrip where he would get his coffee and lottery tickets. Frank was such a regular that he knew everyone who worked there by name.
Frank was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph & Carmeline Cusumano and Frank & Josephine Brancato; parents Salvatore & Rose Brancato; in-laws Frank & Frances Hawver; sister Josephine Brancato; and nephew Anthony Brancato.
Frank is survived by his wife of 49 years, Teresa Jean; his children, Roselyn (John) Arnold of Kansas City, MO; Dr. Sam Brancato of Los Angeles, CA; and Franie (Joe) Polito of Kansas City, MO; brothers, Joe (Rozann) Brancato and Phillip (Enza) Brancato of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Frank’s grandchildren: (Roselyn’s) Nina; (Franie’s) Giavanna, Mia, and unborn Baby Boy due in April 2023.
Frank, we love you and will miss you always.
Services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. The Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum.
Pallbearers: John Arnold, Joe Polito, Art Garcia, Joe Mike Ray, Sal Ray, Tommy Brancato, Joseph Brancato.
Honorary Pallbearers: Vince Vitale, Anthony Paris, Frank Giamalva, and posthumous George Termini.

All we can say is Thank You for Frank being the best Father-in-law our son could ever have been given when he married Franie . Our granddaughters, Giavanna and Mia were beloved and spoiled by their Papa and will miss their beloved "Papa" terribly! However, their memory of him will be kept vibrantly alive with the many "Papa Frank" stories people will share with them as they grow older. Teresa, Roselyn, Sam, Franie, Nina, Giavanna, Mia, Joe and John...you are now truly blessed to have your own special guardian angel watching over you. We will be keeping the entire family in our prayers.

Frank was my cousin, and the comedian of the family. He was a kid magnet! We were always hovering around him, he always made us laugh even when he was yelling at us - just for fun of course. He had that smirk on his face where he was trying to hold in his laughter. We will miss you very much and pray for you and your family to find peace. Our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Theresa,
Annette and I are so sorry for your loss. Frank was a good man. I had the pleasure of working with him years ago at Heartland Electric. What a character. He will be missed.
May God rest his soul and comfort you and your family during this difficult time.
