Frank Clum Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 17, 2025.
Frank Clum, 80, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona surrounded by his family. Born on August 22, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York, Frank's life was marked by resilience, humor, and a deep love for his family.

Growing up in a coldwater flat in Brooklyn, Frank developed a tenacity that would define his character throughout his life. He served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1967, a period that instilled in him a strong sense of duty and resourcefulness-traits that earned him the affectionate nickname "MacGyver" among those who knew him best. Whether it was fixing something around the house or offering advice on how to tackle a tricky repair, Frank was always the go-to person for practical wisdom.

In the 1980s, Frank moved to the Bay Area but never lost his deep connection to New York. Later in life, he made a home in Rogers, Arkansas, where he took great pride in maintaining and improving his residence. His love for home improvement projects was matched only by his passion for gardening. Frank found immense joy in cultivating flowers-most recently planting 150 tulip bulbs with care and pride.

Frank eventually relocated to Arizona to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren. Known affectionately as "Pop," he was deeply cherished by his family. His sense of humor was ever-present; he was always ready with a joke and could lift spirits with ease. He had an uncanny ability to make a meal out of potato chips and ice cream and delighted in sharing stories and engaging in spirited debates. A lifelong learner at heart, Frank enjoyed exploring new ideas and reading as much as possible.

His appreciation for the outdoors led him to visit national parks, where he found peace and inspiration. This love of nature reflected his broader outlook on life-curious, grounded, and full of wonder.

Frank found spiritual comfort within the Protestant faith and was supported by his friend and Chaplain Esteban during his final days. He looked forward with hope to reuniting with the Lord and with loved ones who had gone before him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann and their son Philip. Their memories remained close to Frank's heart throughout his life.

Frank Clum will be remembered for his humor, strength, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with kindness and wisdom. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him. A Funeral will be held on July 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Chapel 6830 West Thunderbird Rod. The Funeral will be Live Streamed at:
