Frank and family,
I was saddened when I first learned about a week ago of Yunko's passing. I first met him in the mid-40's and spent countless hours in Pinky's pool room in the 40's and 50's. I moved away from Turtle Creek in 1962 but would always try to visit Yunko when my wife and I would return to visit
our families. Yunko was a kind and generous man who always greeted me warmly. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Frank,
I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad; when I heard about your loss, I said that I didn't know anyone who didn't like Yunko. Always a smile on his face & always a kind word to say. May he rest in peace.

I grew up in Turtle Creek and as a teenager in the mid 60's, I "hung out " at Pinky's at it's locations on both ends of Penn Avenue. I have come along way since then but Pinky's help me socialize with other young men and helped me gain an identity. I remember Yunko but I never knew his background or much about him. I spent too many hours there but at that time in my life I needed someplace. I hope that he rests in peace and continues to have a place of refuge for young men.

I spent many hours at Pinky's with
" green-cat ' and the whole gang. I have nothing but great memory's of Frank. it was all part of growing up in Turtle Creek. And even though it was 40 years ago it seems like only yesterday.
Rest in peace Frank, you did a great job with all of us ( boy's ) back in the good old day's!

Frankie, I have had the pleasure of knowing your dad over the past twenty years. Your father was one of the kindest individuals I've ever met. I will miss him dearly. May you and your family know that Gods love will allow you and your loved ones to continue on. Yunko would want it that way...

I've been gone from The Valley for many years but every time I went back I stopped in to see Yunko. A friend,a gentleman with a warm heart
who never forgot anyone's name. I'll miss him.

Frank, I am very sorry to hear Yunko has passed. He was always a very kind person and I am thankful for knowing him. I once was told that he and his wife took Sunday drives holding hands and that memory will never leave me. He was a wonderful man, now he can hold hands with his beloved again. Take care and I will never forget him...

I was so saddened when I seen "Yunko" passed away. He was a sweet fun loving guy. I was the "paper girl" for many years down there, and he was always such a gentleman to me. My sympathy goes out his family and friend.

Frank was my grandmother's (Katy Ferra) older brother. My favorite memory of Uncle Frank is that he bought me my first Walkman cassette player, back in the early '80's! My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this sad time.
