So very sorry to hear about the passing of Dr. Fazio. He was my biology teacher at The New Rochelle Hospital School of Nursing. He made learning fun and was loved by all his students.

Rest well professor! I will miss our morning conversations and when you would have trouble with the copier in the science building. You will truly be missed....

Dr Anthony DiMarino

He was my Biology Professor when I was a Freshman in 1970-1971. Most important he guided me and comforted me when during that same year my Father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I am SO sorry to hear about his passing! My love and sympathies to his family

I have such special memories of Doc from when I was one of several young administrators in Iona athletics, when Doc came to visit Coach Valvano. He taught all of us that it was possible to laugh and enjoy life while pursuing your passion. For Doc, it was teaching which he assured us was not very different from coaching.

Doc was a very successful golf coach for the Gaels, but he taught his players more about the game of life than anything else. Whether it was dressing appropriately, being on time or just addressing someone politely, no detail was too small. He embraced those values and made the same demands throughout all of his years on campus.

I was fortunate enough to see Doc frequently over the years, and we always had another laugh about 'those days' in athletics. In looking back, I will remember him as someone who taught so many of us that intelligence did not preclude a sense of humor and that life was a precious gift to be enjoyed.

Rest in peace, Doc. Have a laugh with V.

Hi Ma Fazio

I am very sorry to hear the news of Doc's passing. I will always cherish the great times we spent together. What an amazing partnership you had mentoring young aged-college kids into proper gentlemen.
A few things I remember to this day

A gentleman never takes off his sports coat if it's a jacket and tie event the jacket stays on.

As a member of his golf team, the van leaves at 7 am with or without you

As a student of Doc if class started at 8 am The door gets locked and the shade gets pulled down at 8:00

The funniest and most clever memory I have of Doc
The NCAA had a policy no smoking on college events so DOC would find out of bounds area on the course and have a quick cigarette.

REST IN PEACE DOC!!!!

Loved and lucky to have you as my coach!!!
