Dr. Frank Wilson Gearing Jr.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Mary, and your family. I knew your very nice father in law as a child in the 1950s because he was our doctor.. My adopted parents were Lawrence and Millie Bowman who lived in Maurertown.

Was so sorry to read about Dr. Gearing. He was a good friend to my father and they played music together. My father would call his father when I was little and too sick to go to school. His father was a wonderful Dr. and Dr. Frank jr. took after him. I remember telling my father, that I only wanted Dr. Gearing Sr. or Jr. They were the best! Before starting the 1st grade, I had to be vaccinated and my father took me to Dr. Gearing jr. and I knew everthing would be okay. I was right, he didn't even bring a tear to my eyes. He told me I was such a good girl and he was going to give me two lollipops and to pick the color I wanted. I remembered picking the green and purple. When I left there, I felt like a big girl and I was going to school! He had a wonderful way with all of his patients! Many people in the Shenadoah Co. Va. thought the world of him!

My prayers go out to the family. friends and the patients he treated. We were blessed to have such a wondrful Dr. looking over us.

What a wonderful man. Took care of my little girl for years. So thankful for him and the talents God gave him.

the community has lost a verry precious asset. i remember dr. gearing sharing with me some verry funny stories about he and my father as young men attending massanutten military academy in woodstock, the place of my birth. as a child i was treated by dr. gearing sr. the entire gearing family is special. my thoughts and prayers are with his family. he will be missed and remembered by many.

Having doctored with Dr Gearing Sr and Jr in Woodstock, VA. Dr Gearing Jr delivered my two sons and 50 years later Dr Gearing III doctored my grandson who is now 6 years old. The Gearing's are Great Doctors our sympathy to the family of Frank Gearing Jr.

Frank and family, my deepest sympathies are with you. I had the opportunity to know your dad and he was a delight. We were in the same band for a short time and Frank always made sure the guys took very good care of me. He was such a comforting presence and he will be missed.

Dr. Gearing was a very good friend of my father's, and I went to school with his daughter, Mary.

Dr Gearing was in practice with his dad when I was a kid. His daughter Mary was in the first three grades at Woodstock Elementary with me. May the Good Lord hold each family member tight and grant them peace.

My prayers are with the family in this time. I did not know Dr. Gearing but I did know his father and Miss Jessie. Miss Jessie was my father's teacher. I delivered Doc Gearing's paper and he made house calls to me when I was sick as a kid. My parents still live up the street from his house. What a family legacy. I wish all the best in this tough period.
