Craig M Uhl, MD
October 17, 2024
July 6, 2020 at northstar, north Lake Tahoe. He called me from Sacramento and wanted to see me. I invited him up to the hotel I was staying at. We hiked and this was one of the last pictures we had together. I knew something was wrong as he shared what had been going on with him for weeks. I got him in to see a local doctor and she agreed that he needed an mri of his brain, and the diagnosis of glioblastoma was made within hours of this picture. He went off to Seattle for treatment and did well on a ketogenic diet for a good amount of time. I just found out today of his passing as a chat to frank today was rejected. We had been great friends for many decades as we both had the same birthday, and I´ll always remember our good times. Love ya buddy, Craig

Simple memory of Frank chatting in the Black Box to my husband, humored by an Irish accent. Full of joy & spirit.

Opening night of Sweeney Todd at Penn State. It was because of Frank, that I was chosen to appear as the lead bass who opens the show, and it was an incredible honor, and a truly joyous learning experience, being led and coached by him.
