Frank J. Grasso

Frank J. Grasso, “A man who would do anything for anyone” of Franklinville, N.J., suddenly on Dec. 5, 2005. Aged 55 years.

Frank was born in Camden, N.J. and raised by his grandparents, the late Frank and Sara Grasso in Swedesboro and was a 1969 graduate of Kingsway Regional High School.

He worked with his brother “Jimmy The Mover” for many years and at the same time was employed as a security guard at Virtua Health Systems, Voorhees where he worked for almost 30 years.

“Big Frank” will be remembered as a boisterous and happy-go-lucky guy who enjoyed making people laugh; always put the needs of others before his own and made friends everywhere he went.

He is the devoted father of Frank C. Grasso (Deana) and Christina T. Bassetti (Joseph), beloved son of Mary Jeffries (nee Davis) and the late James V. Grasso, dear brother of Sara Warren, Jimmy Grasso (Karen), Mary Swain (John), Josephine and Catherine Grasso and the late George, loving grandfather of Douglas, Regina, Angela and Amber, dear uncle to many nieces and nephews and companion of Joyce Abdill.

To the Grasso Family,

How fortunate we all were to have had Frank pass throught our lives and how he touched each and everyone of us in his short 55 years. I was one of the very lucky ones to have been priveleged to work with Frank in his thirty years at Virtua. He loved his family very much especially his grandchildren who he bragged about everytime he got the opportunity. His brother Jim was his role model often telling me about how much fun he had with him. I was fortunate enough to meet each one of his family members when "Big Jim" passed away a few years back and meeting each one of you I know now why Frank was so proud of his family.I really enjoyed the many midnight weekends I worked with him and his many stories he shared. He would often stop in on Monday mornings and help me to begin my week with nothing but laughter. I know that at this moment he has a new audience in heaven and has all of them laughing. Frank thanks for being part of my life and the many laughs you brought to me and those around us.

Peace and Love as you live in eternity. Joe

I can't believe I am writing this about "Ole Frank" as we so fondly called him.

He was always the life of the party, always smiling, laughing so loud you'd think the roof would cave in! Frank was part of my extended family, and remained "family" all of his life.

Chris and Frank, your father loved you both and his grandchildren with all his heart and soul.

Junior, he was your best friend as well as your brother, my heart goes out to you and your family in Baltimore.

We will all miss him very much.

It is still so hard for me to believe that you are gone, but you are never truly gone. You will live on in the hearts of your children, grandchildren and all of us who loved you. I will miss your big teethy smiles, your laugh and the way you always made your presence known-we always knew when Uncle Frank showed up. Although you weren't my Uncle by blood, you were in my heart and your children will always be my cousins. Chris looks just like you.

Do me a favor and watch out for all of us down here and keep us all safe, happy, and healthy. You will never be forgotten.

Love,

Michelle

Frank was such a sweet, terrific guy and always ready to sit and talk. He and my boyfriend Ray John worked together at Virtua. When Ray left,Frank would still ask about him and told me how he missed working with him. We both send our heartfelt sympathy to all his family. He will be missed by so many people and will always be in our hearts.
