Frank Ippolito Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 28, 2024.
Frank J. Ippolito, born on March 15, 1940, passed away peacefully at his home on August 25, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, humility, and a life marked by quiet, unwavering dedication to his family. He was a beloved husband to his high school sweetheart Paulette "Pauli" F. Ippolito (Stiles) for 65 years. Both born and raised in Brockton, they relocated to Pocasset in 1997. A devoted father to Mark Ippolito and Jill Ciampa, married to Joseph Ciampa, Jr., and Amy Ippolito-Kelly, married to John Kelly. Known as Papa, Frank was a cherished grandfather to Kristian Ciampa-Mangers (Zachary) and Karlie Ciampa (fiance Tommy Davis); Joseph Ciampa, III (Christina); and Griffin, Juliet, and Ronan Kelly. Papa was notorious for conceiving the funniest nicknames for his family members and pets, and he was always the first to cannonball into his pool every summer.

Frank's career spanned many years at TJX Corporation, where he was respected for his work ethic and amiability. Beyond his professional life, Frank was an avid New England sports fan and he rarely missed an opportunity to watch his grandchildren participate in many different sporting events and activities. Frank was especially passionate about baseball, coaching little league for many years in Brockton and ultimately helping coach his grandchildren. He also enjoyed swimming, bowling, going to the beach, and meticulously caring for his home on Cape Cod. He was always "puttering" around the house or yard, looking for things to fix or take care of. Frank also had a fondness for cars, something that started in his youth and you could sometimes find him at a local car show looking for his favorite car, the 1940 Ford convertible.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Regina and Dante Ippolito; his siblings, Rosemarie Calabrese, Judith Dupre, and Bernard Ippolito.

He was known by all to be warm, kind, humble and extremely devoted to his family. A service to celebrate Frank's life will be held on September 9, 2024, at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 841 Shore Rd., Pocasset, MA. The family welcomes all who knew Frank to join in commemorating his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Family Support Center at www.alzfamilysupport.org.

Frank was one the sweetest men around who loved his family with all his heart. I saw him at every game and activity that his grandchildren were involved in. He always had a smile for everyone. He leaves a great legacy
