Jeanette, we are deeply saddened by the news of Franks passing. We indeed feel very honoured and blessed to have known such a great man. He will be terribly missed by all. Wishing you and your family peace and the comfort to face the days ahead with so many loving memories, to forever hold in your hearts.

I had a chance to meet and know Mr. King and his wife a few years after the 1988 Winter Olympics in their lovely home in Pumphill and was struck by how humble and gracious they both were to Linda and myself in spite of how famous he was. Great people don't need to tell people how good they are, their actions and words are all that is needed. My deepest condolences to the family.

We have been away on Maui, hence only learned of Frank's decease from today's (Friday, May 18) Calgary Herald. Hence, we were unable to attend the Christ Church commemoration, which we much regret. We were neighbours and friends with Frank & Jeanette for many years on Edison Crescent, until jointly robbed of our houses and possessions by the great inundation of 2013. It was customary for us to keep an eye on each others' places when the others were away. Can't begin to count the conversations we had, on all manner of subjects, sometimes in amiable disagreement. Frank & Jeanette always took a lively interest in our children as they grew up, especially daughter Martha's musical career. For years after both were grown and gone, they kept up their kindly custom of giving us a large chocolate rabbit each Easter Sunday. We are not surprised by the circumstances of Frank's demise, having always been impressed by his physical fitness, especially by the speed with which he mowed his extensive lawns. Frank will, of course, be most remembered for his Olympic Games, but many will miss him for many other reasons. Janet & I grieve his departure and extend our deepest condolences to Jeanette and all his family, many of whom we met by being invited to join their annual Edison barbecue. If there is any ' Up There', Frank will be assuredly re-organising it.

Frank was such an inspiration to me when we sat on the Calgary Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors together and in the other things that we did. His quiet wisdom was always apparent. His willingness and outstanding ability to humbly teach was amazing to watch. He always found the good in everyone. The way that he could defuse a volatile situation, and make it a win for everyone was a glory to behold!
Jeanette, I know you will miss that man very much. We all will. Our lives have a hollow spot in them now. I will never forget Frank and the influence he was on my life.

I was one of the fortunate who worked for OCO'88 . Without any reservation i credit Frank King for inspiring all of us to be at our best. His words were motivational, his smile broad, and his diplomacy unflappable. Frank King shared his vision of volunteerism with thousands of like-minded Calgarians. Thank you Mr.Frank King for your work in bringing the Olympic Winter Games to Calgary! For many of us it was the best time of our lives. May your memories of his life with you bring comfort to you.

Jeanette, family, & friends. We are so sorry for your loss. Frank was such a joyful and inspiring man. Canada is a better place for his service and diminished by his passing. May he rest in peace.

I'm saddened to hear of Frank's passing,
Jeanette. He was an inspiration to many and changed the lives of so many. It was always a pleasure to encounter him in the hallways of various buildings during my time with OCO 88 from 1979 through to the end in 1988. The "boys" in the Booster Club sure came up with a

So sorry to hear of Frank's passing. He was such a kind and sincere person interested in everyone. Jeanette, do you remember when we had dinner together at Placido Domingo's restaurant on NYC's East side, not far from the U.N.? That was such an enjoyable evening. My wife Sharon Bochke and I have known Frank and Jeanette for only a short time but we are saddened by the news.

I was so sad to learn of the unexpected passing of your, husband, dad and father in law. I have enjoyed reading the articles about him in the paper and feel very fortunate to have known Frank and appreciate the tremendous influence he had in our city. Frank was a wonderful colleague and friend during our times on various boards. He was always full of well grounded opinions , was a strong family man and was respected by everyone. We are thinking about Jeanette and the family at this time.
