To my Dad.
We hear the laughter, we see the smile, and you rub your hands with so much joy. With hugs and kisses you give our way, we cannot forget our dad on this day. To hear him play, to hear him sing has always been our favourite thing. With joy and laughter in his soul the stories he tell are mighty old. With pride and love for all of us the adventure continues up above.

Forever in our hearts,
Iola & Remi

Hi Dad
365 days since that awful day when we got the news that we would somehow have to find a way to live without you. The words are fresh in my memory as if it was yesterday, the pain in my heart is still there. It has been a rough year, we have had to go through all those first holdiays without you and every day in between. Got my birthday card today and your name wasn't on it, just about broke my heart in two and then I thought I should write to you. I miss calling up home and having you answer the phone, hearing your voice and chatting with me like we use to, telling me all the news before Mom. I miss so much about you, Dad there are times when I need you so bad I don't know what to do and then I think of you and all the joy you brought to my life and somehow I manage to get through that day and the day after. So when I am sad or things are hard, I think of you and somehow you give me the strength that I need, the power to go through another day, I hold your picture close to my heart and all the memories we shared along the way. I thank you for all that and so much more, knowing that we were close and shared all the memories that we did, gives me comfort as so many didn't have the opportunity to love their father or didn't take the opportunity when they had it. Thank You for always being there for me, for being my Daddy, for loving me the way you did, for sharing your life with me, you will always remain close in my heart for the rest of my days.
Our favorite saying "I love You More" or "As big as the sky"
Love always

We miss you very much daddy and the pain is still there, every day is difficult but somehow we do get by, you will always be in our hearts forever and ever, we love you dad and miss you very much. love always,

Hi Dad
The year is certainly going by and it has been a difficult one. The pain is unbearable some days and other days I get by. There is a big void since you left, there is an ache in my heart that has not healed and I don't think it ever will, there is a piece missing, you. I miss you so much, your hugs, your smile, your big hearty laugh, you clapping your hands when you seen us, telling us stories that we never hear anymore, what I would give for just one more story, hug, smile, who am I kidding one more still wouldn't be enough of anything with you, I would still want forever and we know that is not possible. You will never be forgotten as you meant the world to me. Miss you Dad and I will always love you "as big as the sky" until we meet again. Forever

Hi Dad, I know your watching over us, maybe some more than others, but I am sure we all still need a little bit of help even if you are one of God's Fiddle players.Play a song for me dad, I'm sure I can hear that sweet fiddle ever now and then, and I know its' you looking out for all of us.
Love you and miss you very much;
Iola

March 24, 2011

Hi Dad
I have no idea what to say, except some times the pain is too much to bear. You have certainly left a hole in my heart and a void in my life. A big chunk of me is gone and I don't know if I can ever get it back, but I will say this, Thank You for being there for me, for all the years of love, laughter, support and fun we had, for sharing your life with me, for being my daddy.
No one can or will ever come close to what you have given me (everything a daughter could hope for or want). You always made me proud to be your daughter and that is something that I will cherish forever.

I will always love you and cherish for all the yesterdays that you have given me.

Dad, I miss you, it's not going to be the same without you. Iona & I already missed one birthday without you and it really hurts. I went to help mom this week dadl, I guess we are all trying to keep so busy that we just don't have time to think. I see you everywhere dad, the place you always sat to eat, or on your favourate chair in the living room, and everytime the the clock with chirp with your different sound of birds, I taught of you and it made me smile because I know how much you loved your birds. Don't worry dad were taking care of them and Mom also, I know she misses you like we all do.

Love you always and forever

Good Morning Dad
It's another day and time moves on, I can't even describe the loss right now because it is still to fresh. Sometimes I still don't believe it, I know it's true that you have moved on but still not real. It happened way too fast, 100 years from now still wouldn't have been enough time. I guess somehow we are never prepared to loose a parent, espically one as great as you, full of life, laughter and fun. I get a lump in my throat at around Carl Mallihich's place cause I know I have to walk through the door and you won't be there to greet us with your smile or your laugh, but we go through the door cause we want to check on Mom and see how she is doing. She's doing OK, not great but OK. We'll help her all we can. She has been surrounded by everyone since we heard the news. She is not alone. Your birds are feed, they seem upset because your not there for them to eat out of your hands, I think they miss you too. Well Dad,today is Iola and my day and we will be spending it together, I hope that we find comfort today in each other as I know that you will also be with us today, cause your here and that's where you need to be especially today, with your 2 little girls on their day.

I love you as big as the sky and know that you are always in my heart.

Love Always and Forever

Aunty Martina and family. My deepest sympathy goes out to you all. For those of you who could not make it to Uncle Frank's funeral, you really missed something special. Yes it is a time of sadness but it was nice to see how Uncle Frank passed down his love of music to the boys and to the grandchildren. It was wonderful to see how you celebrated his life and I know he was proud of you all when he was watching down on you. God bless you all and keep playing music for your DAD. The Kluke Family,

I never knew Frank, but I do know we are related through my mom.Veronica Kluke McCoshen married to Austin. She and my dad told me stories, there is one that sticks in my mind, my dad had told me, a story about Ramona, he remembered she was sleeping in a bunkbed, and she would get up and want to play, that was a long time ago, but it was something special to him, he thought she was such a sweet girl. So I just want to say I am sorry for the loss of your dad, it is hard to see his chair empty, but time does heal all things, you will always have the pictures and memories to share. God bless you all and know he is in good hands. PS I love the fiddle too, I have one, but I am still learning how to play, I think I lost a good teacher in your dad.

A poem just for you Dad

I wrote these words about a very special man
To express my feelings the best way I can
He was a husband, a neighbour, a grandpa and a dad
And in my eyes, he was the best anyone ever had.

He started out in life at a very young age
Working on the drive for a very low wage
A farmer, a hunter, a great family mam
A musical person that loved to play in a band
He played the violin and really loved to dance
And he knew that with life you don't get a second chance
To laugh, to love, to work or play
He always had plenty to fiLL up our day

But now it's time for him to depart
You will live forever in our hearts
Not having him around will bring us sorrow
But he will always remain our sunshine of tomorrow

Dear Aunt Martina:
First of all, I want to extend my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of Uncle Frank. I will always remember him as a jovial man with lots of stories!

With the loss of a loved one, there is a quiet sadness that moves through us, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch. We may not understand why Uncle left this earth before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that he died, but that he lived. And that his life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. May looking back in memory help comfort your tomorrow.

As the family attempts to comprehend his absence, let yourselves cry knowing each tear is a note of love rising to the heavens and, let us not forget that Uncle is joining many of our loved ones who have passed before him ~ the fiddles and guitars will once again play beautiful music!

Although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that in my absence, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. On my return from Florida, I will drop by to see you.

When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still.
What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more story, we may not understand why you left this earth, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived and that your life gave us stories to remember you by.
God saw you getting tired, so he put his arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
Like a bird singing in the rain, let grateful memories survive in time of sorrow.
