Hello Licari Family,
I am so sorry to hear of Champs passing. I was not aware until I saw this Guest book. I loved FRANK, and he LOVED me. Its a gigantic loss for everyone who he touched. Champ saved my life, he cared, and loved without condition or limitation. I am very happy he had timbit... and I will always admire Champ!!!!

Frank was in the room next to our father, Jacques Gibeault, at the General for two weeks before Dad passed away on August 10th. We often wondered how Frank was doing. He was such a positive and radiant soul. On behalf of our family, our sincere condolences.

My deepest sympathies on the passing of Frank. My wife Trina Costantini-Powell paid respects last evening. I got to know Frank through the softball league at Brewer Park. He was a very good friend of my father in law Rudy. He fought the good fight. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was honored to have known him and to play baseball with him. It always amazed me that given the pain he suffered, he continued to play at a very high level. His specialty was towering home runs. When Frank could no longer play, the then league executive unanimously commissioned the Frank Licari Trophy to be presented to the player who had the most home runs in a season. Always the optimist, Frank told the first recipient that he would return and win his own trophy the following year. Unfortunately that was not to be as his eyesight had deteriorated. My deepest sympathies to Madeleine, Joanne, and Christine. Goodbye my friend

I met Frank about 5 years ago while at the Ottawa Athletic Club. Frank and I were morning regulars and bonded immediately over our love of baseball (Blue Jays), hockey (Senators) and football (RedBlacks). As Frank once said to me, "We're not fans of the game, we're students of the game". It was at his 75th that I really realized how dedicated he was to his family, his friends, his community, and how much he had accomplished throughout his life. Despite all his battles over the past 16 years Frank remained positive, energetic and competitive until the end. He was an inspiration to all. I will miss our morning sports discussions and will never forget you Champ. I just wish I had met you 40 years ago. From myself, my wife Heather, and our son Tim, our condolences go out to Madeleine, Joanne, Christine and the entire Licari family.

Frank was the exception to the rule!
Whenever we met, few and far between, we had inspirational talks immensely enjoyed!
He was a real trooper and fought a long, hard battle supported and loved by family and friends.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of my dear Uncle Frankie. He was truly a special man who I know touched the hearts of many. I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of such a kind and inspirational man. I will miss his smile and encouragement at the OAC. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. I will never forget this wonderful man! Because of his faith, I know that he is in a much better place with no more suffering.
