Frank Lineberger

NEWTON - Frank "Ace" Lineberger, 76, of 702 Second Street Place, SW, Conover, died Feb. 24, 2006, at Life Care Center of Banner Elk after a lingering illness. Born Feb. 23, 1930, in Catawba County, he was a son of the late Charles and Fannie Burgin Lineberger. He was a former employee of Old Dominion Box Co. Seven sisters, Minnie Lineberger, Mary Reinhardt, Phyllis Jones, Nellie Lineberger, Gertrude Danner, Elsie Lineberger and Henrietta Robinson; and two brothers, ODonald Lineberger and William Lineberger, preceded him in death. Survivors include a sister, Ruby Cline of Conover; three brothers, Charles Edward (Laura) of Conover, Gaither (Barbara) Lineberger of Newton and James Dallas (Betty Sue) Lineberger of Hickory; a brother-in-law, J.C. Danner of Newton; a sister-in-law, Margaret Lineberger of Claremont; and several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Covenant Christian Church, with Pastor Don Bledsoe officiating. Burial will be in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Covenant Christian Church, and at other times, the family will be at the home of Dorothy Robinson, 1015 E. G St., Newton.
