I just came across this information, I remember Frank well, from 5th grade together and Lankershim elementary school, north Hollywood junior high and North Hollywood High school. Frank was Football but myself at 115 lbs I was Track and field. I followed his career at UCLA but lost touch until today.
I´ve always remembered him and always wanted to thank him for an incident when we were in 6th grade that I´ve never forgotten him for.
A belated thanks Frank and blessings for you and yours

My boyfriend all through high school... a wonderful person in every way.

Frank Macari and I were boyhood pals and high school competitors as athletes and in general, seeking a presence in the lives of our friends and classmates. I think the definition and commitment I personally made in my life and endeavors were influenced and inspired by Frank but isn't this the case with true friends and associates? Frank was one of those exceptional pals that you never forget and who, at various intervals of need gave his best and more on your behalf.
We went our separate ways but thanks to Frank and Barbara we were briefly reunited here in Seattle when they traveled to a show opening of mine. Christ, I'll never forget when I realized it was Frank who stood there after forty five years or more of absence from my presence. It was again one more of Frank's generous gestures to come in the direction of his friends and colleagues. I cherish this memory and am inspired by it. Might I be as spirited and generous to others as he was to me.
