I am sad to hear of his passing. I have dozens of good memories and will always associate WB3CQD with electronic construction, QRP (with limited space for antennas) and DX on the shortwave bands. --... ...--

Dad,
I love you. Even though I didn't always show it, I always loved and appreciated everything about you. I miss you terribly. Words cannot describe how much I want you back, but you're in God's care now and in the loving hands of The Lord. Watch over us and guide us from the Heavens like you did when you were on Earth. This isn't goodbye, just a temporary separation until we meet again. Thank you for everything. Say hello to Pop and Gram for me. I love you!
Your loving son and bud forever,
Mike
PS: To me, you will always be The Famous WB3CQD!

I worked with frank At the Former Prebola enterprises when I was on co-op in vo-tech school. I will always remember him as the "Famous Frank Malec" and how kind and generous he was to those who worked under him.(Thanks for all the hoagies frank!!) I still have a CNC programming book frank gave to me after learning of my promotion to cnc foreman. He made a trip back to the shop to give it to me. I never met his family but you are in my thoughts and prayers.
