FRANK MATTHEWS, 86, Dayton, passed away Monday in Wharton. A native and lifetime resident of Dayton, a retired operator from Ashland Chemicals after 33 years, member of the First United Methodist Church. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at the First United Methodist Church, Dayton with Rev. Bill Webb and Rev. Jay Barnes officiating. Burial at Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Survived by: Sons: Jay Matthews of Brenham and Ray Matthews and his wife Lisa of Louise; Sister: Priscilla Gougler and her husband Doyle of College Station Grandchildren: Jennifer Matthews Reeves and her husband Brad of Pecos and Matt Matthews of Beaumont.
