Years later, and I still hear your name mentioned. You were kind and talented. I hear it from your patients, friends and those who loved your music. None of us could have imagined how this could have happened, but You are missed Buddy.

Words cannot express the grief my husband and I still feel over the loss of this great friend and person. Brenda, I know this is so hard for you. Please know that I am still living where I always did and am ready to listen when you need to talk to someone. If you need to just get away from it all, you are welcome to come see us at any time. I always remember the great time we had making items for the women's bazaar, antiquing for items to use with reenacting, and cooking on that fire. The best memories are those sitting around the fire at night singing out of Lou's hand written song books and listening to Buddy play the fiddle or the banjo. The bag pipes would bring tears to your eyes. You both were so friendly and personable it was just not like being in the presence of a doctor or such a talented nurse. We were just friends. My boys loved you both and still think fondly of you. they too were devastated to hear of your loss. If you come to Memphis to see Amy, give me a call and we will meet up again. Know that you are daily in my thoughts and prayers.

Your friend,
Debbie Hill

At 7 1/2 months pregnant I was only able to work with Dr. McCutcheon and his wonderful staff for a very brief period of time in 2004. He and his staff were absolutely like a family and very easy to work with and for. My heart goes out to Brenda, his related family, and his work family. This is truly a senseless loss. I pray for peace of mind and hearts for everyone involved.

Buddy Buddy Buddy. What a shock. It was a sad and solemn day yesterday after reading the news. Many good memories of playing army and talking science stuff on Pine Valley and Englewood as 8 year old fighting Einsteins. And re-uniting in Fayetteville years later. Yesterday I pulled out our cub scout pack photo...still hilarious to this day. My condolences to your wife and family. Looking forward to seeing you again some day. Walt B.

So sorry to hear Dr. McCutcheon has passed in such a tragic senseless manor. He was so sweet and kind. He and his staff, his wife Brenda, all took such heartfelt care for me as a patient. I was devastated and deeply saddened to hear of this tragedy. I knew him as my daughter's ( Natalie) surgeon. He performed a miracle, just last July, in repairing damage from skin cancer on her nose. He was kind, compassionate, and a skilled surgeon. He helped us through a very trying time. My condolences to his family and kind staff. May he rest in peace.
