It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Frank Stewart Munroe. Frank was born on June 24, 1943 to George and Nancy Munroe. He passed away peacefully on Oct 5, 2012 at the age of 69. He grew up on the Muskoday First Nation. He was the 5th of 10 children. Frank loved to serve his community of Saskatoon. He was a respected elder in the community and loved working with children. "Grampa Frank" will be greatly missed. He will be dearly missed by his family and all that knew him. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Jenny Munroe. He also leaves behind his children: Sandra (Walter) Jimmy; Franklin (Nicky) Munroe; Gordon (Carla) Munroe; Jon Munroe; Angel (Troy Wosminity) Munroe; Joshua Munroe: Kenny Morin, as well as his 22 grandchildren. Also left to mourn his passing are his 3 sisters: Flora Umpherville, Lucille (Burton) Kewayosh, Violet Munroe, and a sister-in-law, Carol Munroe. He was predeceased by his parents George and Nancy Munroe. His 4 brothers: Bill, Jackie, Roy and Steven and his 2 sisters, Louise Keith and Susan Pekeekoot. Prayer services were held at St. Mary's Parish on Monday, Oct 8th at 2:00 p.m in Saskatoon. Wake services were held at Muskoday First Nation band hall, Tuesday, Oct. 9th at 12:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow on Wednesday, Oct. 10th at 1:00 p.m.
