Met Frank about 3 years ago. He was very smart (but humble) about many things. However, he was smartest in his outlook on life and his faith in God and this is the gift he gave me. I will always remember his smile and "dandy" outlook!

I had the pleasure of knowing Frank Murphy since we first met in my office in 1984. I always enjoyed taking care of him, but I think I gained more than he in the many great conversations about the Seaport, clocks, his family and life in general. He was a remarkable man and I shall miss him.

Our dear Frank was a family treasure! While living in West Hartford he worked on my grandmother's clocks at her home in West Hartford. I moved to the Mystic area and upon the death of my mother received a few of her clocks. Having worked at Mystic Seaport myself, I had come to know Frank when he would come to tend to the clock in the VRC. I discussed my clocks with him and as fate would have it he had actually worked on them for my grandmother! She had actual hand written notes inside the clocks as to when he had tended to them last. What a small world and what a wonderful, wonderful man. May he rest in peace reunited with his beloved Annette and may you, his family, be comforted at what a profound impact he had on so many people's life. It was my gift to have known him.

Frank Murphy was one of the most intelligent people with whom I've ever worked, and he had a keen sense of humor to match. The world is a poorer place without him. Faith Damon Davison

Frank was an amazing man and a wonderful friend. I remember many happy hours just talking to him about so many different subjects. I accompanied him on many of his tours about the Seaport winding the antique clocks... Each one had a unique story that Frank was always more than happy to convey. He was a good friend and trusted mentor. I will miss him. Rest in peace my friend...

"Frank was an Elder with great observational skills, compassion and integrity. Frank's message was PEACE. I believe, from our conversations, that Frank met his transition without fear as he is now with his Love. Thank you."..............

Frank touched many people. My father, Dave Olsson spent many hours with him and learned many things. His friendship meant the world to my Dad. He left a valuable impression on my 13 yr old son, Mathew. We were blessed to have him part of our lives. God bless to his family and know he is in a wonderful place.
