Dear Frank, MaryBeth, Keri and family,
We are sorry for being so late to respond, but news travels slowly up here. We are so sad and upset to hear of your loss and know the hole in your heart it has left. Frank was the "apple" of his father eye, and i can so dearly feel your pain. MaryBeth we know your faith will sustain you, but the loss is unfathomable, and Keri, you and your dear children have lost the love you your life, a great man, and grand and wonderful father. Please know that daily we will pray for all of you and especially for Frank who sits by the Lords side, and now watches over his entire family, forever. God bless you all.

Keri and O'Brien Family:
Thoughts of you this 22nd day of March, Frank's birthday. I am sure he has found an ND bar like Bridget's in Heaven and is having a beer or two today. That's my great hope for a great guy. May Notre Dame our Mother continue to hold you close and keep you strong. Best always.

January 8, 2007

Frank was a great guy and made me laugh many times on and off the lacrosse field at ND. He always seemed to know the right thing to say and at the right time to say it to get a laugh out of me, like "Nothing you could do about that goal, you just stink." I had lost touch with him, but I can never forget him. I was shocked to hear of his passing and my deepest sympathies go out to the entire O’Brien family. God Bless you all.

Frank was a joy to be with and around. I feel blessed to have known him before, during and after his Notre Dame years. He was a fine example of the O'Brien energy, spirit and enthusiasm. We will miss him.

Dear O'Brien Family,
While it has been a while since I have seen your family, you have been in my thoughts and prayers over the past two years. While Frank's life was too brief, he leaves us a legacy of strength, character, and caring. May God grant you the ability to persevere through the early days of your loss -- your wonderful memories of Frank will push aside the sorrow of today, and the good memories will last forever.

Keri, Children and extended family,

No words can express the great loss you are experiencing. I cannot even imagine your grief. I met Frank and Keri only once, but for several days, at the AGC annual meeting in St. Thomas USVI in January 2003. Poor Shane had red bumpy skin (maybe roseacea).

The ease with which you all handled seeing the resort doctor and carrying on with a crabby son stuck in my mind. We were there with our 1.5 yr. old daughter so we could appreciate your caring for a child who was not quite himself. Since then, through Sandy Forrestel, I have kept up on the news of your other 2 children arriving close to the births of the Forrestel babies and kept you all in my daily prayers upon hearing of Frank's tumor.

Know you are thought of often. May some of that ease in handling a difficulot situation miles form home with Shane in St. Thomas be yours now. May Frank's heavenly power shine down on you....he is your angel, to propel you through these difficult days and help you make some sense of his passing in the months to come.

Many, many prayers,

Gernatt Asphalt Products, Inc.

Dear Keri,
I remember meeting you and Frank when I came up to North Creek to ski with Justine. I remember how much in love you both were, and how I hoped I could find what you two had. I also remember Frank's vibrance. He challenged me to race down the last run of the day. I readily accepted the challenge and took a spectacular tumble halfway down the mountain. Frank said falling across the finish line counted, but I still didn't win. Thanks Frank.
Our thoughts are with you during this time of loss.
