Frank Morat O'Quinn

RIP Sir.

Our heart-felt condolences to all the O'Quinns in the loss of your husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and sibling. While we never had the pleasure of meeting your father, the memories shared by others suggest a man committed to God, family, service and hard work. It is not surprising then to see the same
marks of good character in all of the O'Quinn descendants. May our prayers help bring peace to all.

Although my husband and I met your dad through our high school connections, I didn't have the opportunity to know him better until he was teaching in Construction Management. He was so loved by all, students and staff, and he always talked about his family with much love and pride. The LSU family was fortunate to have Frank on staff, to have him share his experience and knowledge, and to lead so many young students in the beginning of their career paths.

The death of someone close to us leaves us shocked with grief. We cannot understand how one minute this person was here and the next they are gone. The truth is that those we love are never truly gone. The body may have run its course, but the soul lives forever.

Dearest O'Quinn family -- so many great memories of your sweet daddy. Sending love to all of you especially your dear mom.

So very sorry to hear about your dad, Melanie, My dad was also a professor at LSU but in Electrical Engineering. Such a small world. You are so lucky to have such a large famil to help you thru this loss. My prayers are with you and your family .

Jutathip and I are very sorry to learn of Mr. O'Quinn's passing this morning from my mother. I have such fond memories of him. Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you. We plan to visit Baton Rouge in late April and will try to meet up.

In loving memory of Uncle Frank. A wonderful mentor to generations - kids, grandkids, great grandkids, students. My dad always looked up to Uncle Frank (and not just from a height perspective) and tried to emulate him (and often compete with him. To his chagrin, we were not able to keep up with the "French O'Quinns" when it came to sheer number of offspring. We always enjoyed our big family gatherings and shared vacations. Uncle Frank left an amazing legacy. We will love him and miss him always and honor him for a life well lived. Rest in peace, Uncle Frank.
