Frank Perrotta Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 3, 2018.
Francis Gerard Perrotta, resident of Solivita in Poinciana, Fla. died March 2, 2018.
Frank was born August 4, 1928, n Brooklyn, NY.

A lover of classical music, early in life he played the oboe and the clarinet and dreamed of becoming a musician. He grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, graduated in 1946 from Fort Hamilton High School, from Siena College in 1950 with a B.A., and in 1952 earned his LLB from Brooklyn Law School. He was honored in 2005 by the Suffolk County, NY Bar Association for 50 years of service as a practicing attorney. He was in private practice much of that time and liked describing himself as a " country lawyer". He served in the Korean War and enjoyed his membership in the Veterans' Association. He was an extraordinary baker who once told a friend he'd bake him a pie so delicious cholesterol would leak out his ears. He was warm, generous and funny, with the rare capacity to strike up conversation with almost anyone. To some he was fondly known as "The Mayor".

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan, his adored son, Edward Joseph who died September 11, 2001 in the WTC., his parents Laura and Cosmo, and his brother Christopher.

He is survived by his brother Charlie, his children John (Madeline), Laura (Donald), Robert, and Michael (Christine), his grandchildren Sean Francis, Jillian, Joseph, Jennifer, Drew, Dylan Francis, Emma, Cody, Brandon, Christopher, and Kayla, and his great grandchildren Harry, Teddy and Ben.

A memorial service will take place in NY at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to consider making a donation to the Veterans' Scholarship Fund.
