I was very young when I was introduced to football by my father. I had the pleasure to meet Frank and get an autographed photo at Westgate Mall in Rocky River, OH. My first autograph!

I was a fellow physics major with Frank at Rice during 1954 through 1958 and was saddened to learn of his passing. Like many others I followed his careers in both academia and athletics. He certainly lived a special and productive life. With my condolences and sympathy to Joan and the family. Charley Myers

Frank played high school football for my dad, Coach Bill Allen, in Ft. Worth. He was always very kind to my dad and stayed in touch with him throughout his life. We watched him play Dallas in the early 60's, and we were all thrilled. He was not just cerebral and athletic, he was a great, kind man.

I had the honor of watching Frank play during his time with the Browns. The fact he played at the highest level while maintaining his career as educator and researcher was remarkable. His family will be in our prayers.

Wanted to let your family know that as a passionate Browns fan, I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Ryan. May God bring your family some comfort in knowing that we fans really appreciated his sacrifices to play the game we love. May he rest in peace.

When I was a kid I lived on Fenway dr. off of cedar rd. The Ryan family had two dogs (wiggy and Tory) I believe. I found both dogs wandering twice in my younger days and called the number on the tag. I believe it was a Ryan family that came and picked up the dogs. I was so excited to meet Frank Ryan as a young kid. I might be wrong, but I believe, it was the Ryan family

Our close neighbor in Vermont for many years we enjoyed watching Frank working with his gardens.
He had that mathematical mindset laying out the garden pattern. Somehow took on the appearance of a gridiron!
Frank always had a great and contagious smile.
Always a pleasure to meet with each day to have a country chat.
You will be fondley remembered. RIP Frank.
