Dr. Frank Scucces

SCUCCES, DR. FRANK A., 93, a resident of Heritage Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Smithfield, passed away Friday. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Leotta) Scucces. They had been married for 44 years. Born in Pozzallo, Ragusa, Sicily, Italy on May 22, 1921, he was the son of the late Pietro and Rosa (Caruso) Scucces. Dr. Scucces was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 144th Station Hospital. He practiced as an optometrist in Auburn, NY before retiring in 1986, and was a member of the Secular Franciscan Order. He leaves a daughter, Rose Ann Warren and her husband John of Providence; a son, Peter F. Scucces and his wife Donna of Johnston; four grandchildren, Peter Scucces and his wife Cathy, Michael Scucces and his wife Jennifer, Jonathan Warren and his companion Alicia Lage and her son Jeremy Miller, and Jennifer Estrada and her husband Oscar; and six cherished great grandchildren, Caleb Estrada, Gianni Estrada, Katie Anne Scucces, Matthew Scucces, Michael Scucces and Daelyn Estrada. His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:45 AM from the A. TARRO & SONS Funeral Home, 425 Broadway, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave., Providence. Graveside burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Wednesday 5-8 PM.
