FRANK VLACH Obituary

Frank L. Vlach Frank L. Vlach was the beloved husband of Virginia; loving father of Robert (Deanna) and Jeffrey (Sandra) Vlach; devoted grandfather to Bob, Brianna, Vicki and Brandon Vlach; and loving uncle to his niece, Pamela Fairchild (Roger) and great-niece and -nephew, Lyndsay and Drew Fairchild. Born in Omaha, Neb. in 1933, he lived in Indianapolis, Ind. and over 50 years in Mount Prospect, Ill. He passed away at home Thursday, May 17, 2012. Frank worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Company as manager of operations as well as manager of advertising and sales promotion for over 30 years. He worked for the George Busse Real Estate Office. He also worked part time at Neradt Ace Hardware. He served in the Army in 1955/1956, where he worked in finance at Scoffield Barracks in Honolulu, Hawaii. Frank coached Midget Football and baseball in the 1960s and 1970s. He loved to travel with family and friends. Frank was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, in Mount Prospect, Ill., where he had served as an elder. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church, 407 N. Main St., Mount Prospect, IL 60056, 847-392-3111. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Frank's memory, may be made to Community Presbyterian Church (at the address noted above) or Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care, 1550 Bishop Court, Mount Prospect, IL 60056.
