Dear Jo and Peter,
I am very sorry to hear about the sudden passing of your father. I met him just last September when I was visiting Edmonton for the Scona reunion. We sat in the sun in front of the new Science building for over an hour chatting about things. He taught me a course on optics and electrodynamic waves, I will always remember him demonstrating how the electric and magnetic fields, exemplified by his arms, oscillate as the wave propagated forward, by walking forward. The interesting thing was that the amplitude had to go from plus to minus, so one arm would go from all the way up to all the way down while the other would go from all the way left to all the way right! I don't remember if he played with relative phase relationships! I also remember the time we visited your cottage, and various other outdoor activities we had done together. Your father was a fine man. I would like to offer you my sincere condolences.

Frank was a pillar of the McKernan community and was always there to fight for what was right. His contributions cannot be overstated, especially to our new community hall and to transportation issues over many years. We will miss seeing him cycling through the community.

May the many happy memories bring you comfort. I remember my father's stories of their outdoor adventures, and Sunday skiing followed by lunch.

Frank was a tireless supporter of the community and worked on many issues for the betterment of the community, the city and the world. I know Frank through my involvement with public transit issues and much valued his input, knowledge and support on issues such as the retention and renewal of the electric trolleybus system and the expansion of LRT. I used to run into Frank regularly at work and we would stop and chat; sadly we won't be having our hallway chats any longer. Frank will be dearly missed by one and all, and I feel we owe him a debt of gratitude for all the valuable contributions he made.

Dear Frank
I got to know him as a member of McKernan Community League and a tireless advocate for causes in which he believed. He will be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with Frank's family as they mourn his passing. Frank was a huge part of our McKernan community, and a very visible presence - walking, biking, and always ready to give an opinion, a thought, or a greeting. I will miss seeing him around just about everywhere!

I wish to extend my condolences to the entire Weichman family. I knew Frank, not as well as I did Jean, but what I did know of him, he was indeed a powerhouse of energy who served this world well.

To the whole Weichman's family, especially to Jo, Nikita and Keara.
I was sad to hear about Frank's passing away, but I like to say: death is but crossing the world, as friends do the seas: they live in one anther still.
with my deepest sympathy Elvira Leibovitz.
