Franklin Derr Obituary
Prior to retiring, he was a bus driver for the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit, and also had worked as an auto mechanic.
Born in Packerton, he was a son of the late Franklin and Mary (Walck) Derr.
He was of the Christian faith.
Derr was a former member of the New Columbus Fire Company Fire Police, Nesquehoning, and belonged to the Sokol Citizens Club, Nesquehoning.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel, and his fiancee, Tara Kocher, of Nesquehoning, and Franklin Jr. of Lehighton; three daughters, Sheila Cooper, and her companion, Leon, and Debra Derr, both of Nesquehoning, and Rosemary Derr of Lansford; a sister, Sarah Walck of Weatherly; and nine grandchildren, Franklin III, Amanda, Amy, John, Jeffrey, Julie, Desiree, Celeste and Kylie.
Service: Funeral service private. Arrangements by Bruce A. Nalesnik Funeral Home, 57 W. Center St., Nesquehoning.
