Uncle Frankie was such a gentle and kind man. His love for his siblings and family was evident from his heartwarming stories.

Uncle Frankie's talent both with a microphone and a golf club was awe-inspiring. We will miss hearing his beautiful voice and playing golf with him.

May he rest in peace knowing he is loved.

Frank had been scheduled to perform in our Holiday Talent show at Brookdale Brookhurst in 2023, but an unexpected trip to the hospital made it necessary to remove him from the program.
While the event was still underway, Frank returned from the hospital, and asked to be brought into the audience. Even though he was weak, he wanted to contribute. With the help of care staff, he stood and sang an impromptu acapella version of Silent Night with his wonderful, rich voice. He brought down the house! We were all profoundly touched by his wonderful gift and talent. I will keep and cherish this memory for years to come. Thank you for blessing our lives Frank!

Papa Frankie was a wonderful man, with a kind and gentle heart to all who knew him. My childhood memories were filled with his singing and his willingness to put on silly hats and costumes any time I visited Redondo Beach. My oldest son is playing in a jazz concert tonight, and this one is dedicated to him! With love and kind thoughts to all his family and those lucky to know him.

Uncle Frankie was a kind, talented, and giving uncle. The family was so proud of his many accomplishments and amazed at his polished voice. He was always interested in all our lives and quick to laugh with the family. We will miss his sincere heart and loving smile. God blessed us with your wonderful spirit. Rest in peace Uncle.
Lovingly,
Danny Nalani Ordiz and family

Dad was very proud of the fact that his own father Joe was from Cebu in the Philippines and was of Visayan descent. When a 2014 work trip was going to take me to Manila, I was able to take Frank to Boracay, a small resort island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destinations for relaxation (something Frank was very good at!). He loved sitting beach side talking to the wait staff like he owned the place, and basking in the sun.

We spent 4 wonderful days exploring the island, took a side trip to Corregidor, then enjoyed an overnight stay at the historic Manila Hotel. Dad was amazed at the breadth of the amazing buffet, and would probably have stayed there all day. It was a once in a lifetime experience - I'm so glad we were able to spend it together!

Dad bailed me out of more failing cars than any one person should have to . . . unfailingly helpful, never complaining when he had to pick me up because one of my many cars had died. I've been fortunate to have had company cars for the past few years; every time he got into one he'd say, "Boy, this is a nice car - are you taking good care of it?" We leased him a Kia Sportage a few years ago while he was still driving - he sure did love that car!
