Frank was a wonderful and memorable teacher. It was my privilege to accompany him on University of Maine travel-study adventures in Brazil and Ireland. I am thankful for all he taught me on those trips, especially the secrets and joys of traveling light. We shared the feeling that travel abroad can provide quality education. It was a great pleasure knowing and traveling with Frank.

Dr. Roberts was my Histology instructor at the Univ. of Maine back in 1969. I admired him immensely... and this had nothing to do with the fact that he gave me an A-grade. :-)

For a very long time I've wanted to find an address for him but was unable to do so. I merely wanted to let him know how much I enjoyed his class and the way he taught it.

He also arranged for me to spend the summer working with a professor in the agriculture department named "O'Meara (I believe that was his name) doing genetic research on chickens [Gallus Domesticus]. Dr. Roberts even went to the Jackson Labs with me to have some electron microscoptic slides prepared.

Later I went on to dental school where his excellant Histology class prepared me very well for the next level... a full year of Human Pathology.

Now that I've read through all of Dr. Roberts' accomplishments, I realize now more than ever that Dr. Roberts really WAS a great man and I am so honored to have known him forty-five years ago. My only regret now is that I did not put my sentiments in writing years ago.

May he rest in peace.

Laurie and Jennifer- it's been years and years since we've spoken, but I want to extend my empathy, to you both, for the loss of your father.

Dear Julie, Audrey and Kathleen. I am sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I will always remember our childhood. When the Roberts girls would come to Grammie's house and our outings to camp with our Aunties. Birthday's were so much fun. Then came the twins..Surprise. Remember the good times. Much Love, your cousin Debbie
