Frances Stone Obituary
Beloved wife of the late Lawrence M. Stone. Devoted mother of David J. Stone and his wife Debra and Sheryl Itzkowitz and her husband Kenneth. Loving grandmother of Daniel Stone, Julia Stone, Jason Itzkowitz and Lindsey Itzkowitz. Loving great grandmother of Emilio and Theo. Dear sister of Dorothy Klayman and her husband Myron of Canton and the late Sylvia Gelfand. Loving aunt of many nieces and Nephews. Graveside services at Sharon Memorial Park, 41 Dedham Street, Sharon on Tuesday, January 3 at 10:45am. Memorial observance private. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Temple Beth Shalom, 600 Nantasket Avenue, Hull, MA 02045. Late owner of Paragon Park in Nantasket.

So sorry to hear of Phyllis Stone's passing. I remember the good times we had in the 60s when her son David and I were students at Milton Academy. As well, I remember when my mother and I went to visit her at her condo in Florida. Although we were not close through the years, still I remember the Stone family with fondness, most especially for the fun they provided me and my brother and generations of Bostonians at Paragon Park when it was in existence throughout our childhood.

We really appreciate that Cheryl provided us the opportunity to meet with her. We look forward to honoring Phyllis and the Stone family in our production this Summer. Dear Dodie, Myron, Sheryl, David and Family, I was deeply saddened to learn of Phyllis' passing on New Year's Eve and extend heartfelt and profound condolences to you. Her years of life were a great gift, as is the good name she leaves behind, especially in the town of Hull where the Stone family name and Nantasket Beach's famed Paragon Park are forever woven into the town's colorful history over most of the last century. While the Park may be gone, her legacy continues. May her cherished memory be for a great and good blessing for all of you, and may your journey through your grieving be a gentle one.
