Franklin Gerald Stuart (Jerry) of San Leandro passed away on Feb. 8th 2012 at the age of 83. Born in Oakland, California on June 23, 1928 to the parents of Bernard and Vera Stuart, who preceded him in death. He is remembered by his loving wife, Carole. Children Pam, Frank (Donna), Cheryl (Jeff), 3 grandchildren, Danielle, Dana, Desire and granddaughter Kristie, who preceded him in death. Proud Great Grandfather of Jacob and Jeremiah and his sister, Del Nicholson of Florida. His Angel, Amy Marcia.
He started work at the age of 16 at Owens Illinois in Oakland, CA and retired after 37 years. He was a man full of ambition and loved life challenges. He was involved with the San Leandro Boys and Girls Club, Member of Bon Temple. He started his catering service at BAY FAIR HALL in Alameda and eventually moved it to the Moose Lodge in Castro Valley. He also built Peralta Storage in San Leandro.
He will be missed by all that knew him and loved him. Services will be held at Grissom's Mortuary at 11 AM on Fri., Feb. 17th, 267 E Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. Celebration to follow at Hayward/Castro Valley Moose Lodge, 1 PM, 20835 Rutledge Rd. Castro Valley, CA. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Vitas Hospice, 670 North McCarthy Blvd., Milpitas CA 95035 or San Leandro Boys and Girls Club.
