Frank and I played music together since the 1980's, mostly with Spirit of '29. During the years 1995-1999, when I was the bandleader, Frank was our regular banjo player. Besides producing some memorable music, Frank and I became friends. My wife and I came to Frank's 70th birthday party at Rob's home in SF. We would exchange cards and greetings at the holidays, and now and then I would give him a phone call. Our often lengthy conversations covered music, musicians of our acquaintance, politics, and other topics of interest. Frank was concerned with social justice (a phrase he sometimes used) and enjoyed links I would send to information on the internet. The last time we played together was at the summer concert series at Fernandez Park in Pinole about nine years ago. Frank was a dear friend, almost like family, and he is greatly missed.

To The Tateosian Family,
My sincere condolences to the Tateosian Family on the passing of Frank. He was a friend from kindergarten at Washington Grammer School, and we remained close friends through graduation at San Mateo High School. Later we were in the Navy together, and Frank was my the best man at my wedding in 1962. Are paths crossed again in Virginia when we were station with the Navy at the Pentagon. As we raised our families and received orders to different locations we drifted apart and sadly didn't reconnect.

I have fond memories of or youth, and my close association with his dear parents, Ted and Marion, and his brother Don. Frank loved his parents very much, and they were proud of his achievements. I regret not taking the effort to make contact with Frank as we grew older. We had a lot of fun growing up as young men. I have many fond memories of our time together.

God bless Frank. May He welcome him into His House where he will Rest In Peace.
