Franklyn Lane Obituary

Franklyn Lane
PEORIA - Franklyn Robert Lane "Pop" Sr., 63, of Peoria passed away at home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017.
Franklyn was born on January 12, 1954, to Franklyn Henry and Margaret (Nelson) Lane in Peoria, lL.
Franklyn married the love of his life, Haddie, on November 19, 1985, in Peoria lL. She survives.
Franklyn is survived by one son, Franklyn Lane Jr. (Jamie Pace) of Creve Coeur; daughters, Heather Woolsey (Mike) Andrews of Peoria, Kayla Lane of Peoria and Kasandra Lane (Dakota Mahan) of Wisconsin; and sisters, Alta Lane (William Rogers) of Peoria, Mary Cunningham of Peoria, Betty (Corey) Bragg of Mississippi and Tammy Woolsey (Cabot) of Mississippi. He has one grandson, Bug of Peoria; nephews, Franklyn H. (Cindy) Lane of East Peoria and James Lane of Peoria; niece, Yolanda Lane of Peoria; many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and one uncle and aunt, Henry and Phyllis Cotner of Claremont, lL.
Franklyn was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Margaret Lane; and one uncle, John Nuhn.
Pop grew up here in Peoria and was known around town as a master mechanic. Everyone in the neighborhood would bring their lawn mowers to him to fix for the summer season. They called him "The Lawn Mower Man." He was an avid outdoorsman and loved going on fishing trips with his son.
A visitation will be held on August 8, starting at 12 noon at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to Haddie Lane for the funeral expenses for Franklyn.
