Working with Freddie; as I have grown to refer to him. I was given a lesson in how to be a supervisor by leading from the front. Surviving Katrina and then having him as a Lieutenant, was just another great opportunity to work with a great man. His calmness in the face of anything, was amazing. Knowing he was in your corner provided an enormous element of confidence whatever the task.
As a friend, I admired his devotion to his family and friends.
As long as I walk this life, you will always remain in my heart and mind. God Speed.

I cannot begin to express the heartache we are feeling for our family's incredible loss. Fred, you went too soon. We had many years of sharing our families, children and more. . . Now you will have to watch from the heavens above along with our loved ones you have joined. We will always love you and miss your presence, your comforting smile, your gentle voice. We will watch after Deb and the boys as will many others. Until we meet again . . . Joanne, Tom & Dylan

Words cannot express how much Fred will be missed. He will truly leave a void in our family. He was not just a cousin, but more like a brother. Family holiday gatherings will definitely not be the same. I know that the Lord has special plans for Fred. Our family has another Man in Blue in Heaven looking out for us. Deb, Brendan & Freddie I love each of you and if you ever need anything at all, please do not hesitate.
