On May 16th, 2025, Fred "Mike" Bays, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away at the age of 76. He was the second of two children born to JD and Hazel Bays of Baytown, TX on December 13, 1948.

Mike grew up in Baytown, where he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in the class of 1967. In 1997, He married Patricia Ann and they shared a wonderful 28 years of marriage together. Mike worked in telecommunications and was with the company ROLM for over 20 years.

In his free time, he loved golfing with his buddies. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Mike taught his grandson to drive a manual transmission truck that he received from his great-uncle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JD and Hazel, as well as a brother in law, Jimmy "Reggie" King.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Patricia, His sister, Lanell King, Son, Dax Bays (wife Dana), Daughter, Danielle Addamz (husband Wayne), and grandchildren; Nyah, Griffin, and Noah.

We will keep him in our hearts always, until we meet again.
