We were saddened to learn of Bud's passing this week.
He was a gentleman, a teacher, kind, caring and had a wonderful sense of humor.
We will treasure all of the memories of times spent, most notably for us at The Island duck dinners.
Please accept our sympathy and know that the gang is smiling over us today.
Sincerely,
Karen and John Gibson

Heinritz's, I am really going to miss my "surrogate" dad. Bud was very special to me. I will miss him at the Poygan duck dinners on the island, and the Canada fishing group get togethers. We had many good times together for as long as I can remember. I know my dad is happy to have his good friend finally joining him and the others. God Bless and comfort you all.

Gretchen and Family Bud's kindness and hospitality will always be in my memory. He was a good man and his loss will be felt by all who knew him. My deepest sympathy to all of his family. I hope the sorrow of his passing can be tempered by the memories of a life lived well. Jim Bayorgeon

I was very sad to hear of Bud's passing. He was a great friend of my fathers, and a great friend of mine. I spent countless quality hours with Bud hunting, fishing, or just sitting around campfires at his beautiful spot in Big Falls or Canada. He truly was a remarkable human and my life is way better for having known him. Rest in peace my friend and say hi to JBL for me.

Dear Gretchen and Family, please know that your are in our thoughts and prayers during this most sorrowful time. May your faith in Him, your sweet memories of Fred, and the continuing love of family and friends bring you peace as you travel this journey. We shall miss seeing Bud on Wednesdays as he gathered with his friends for lunch and a game of dice. Always a fun time!

Gretchen and family...as an old time Appleton Coated person, I was saddened to hear of Fred's passing. We served many years together in a great, family oriented company. I will always be especially grateful to Fred for without him allowing my wife and I access to his Senior Notre Dame tickets, we may never have had the opportunity to take-in ND football games when our two kids went to school there. God Bless Fred and his whole family.

Such a wonderful man we have lost. His annual duck feasts before the fishing season, taking Bob Matzke and I canvas back hunting as he spryly jumps in and out of the boat with his waders on,and spending time with my dad(another WWII pilot) are just a few of the wonderful memories I have of Bud and his gracious wife Gretchen. Rest In Peace old friend!

Fred was in our Kiwanis Club for many, many years. He was always so kind and helpful, lending a hand whenever needed. I can still picture him serving meals at the Bean Feed. Our condolences on your loss.
