Fred, our thoughts and love are with you. The loss of a father is such a profound experience no matter what the age or circumstances. We remember your Dad from those wonderful days of your "growing up" with us in Pittsburgh and attending Baldwin High School. Your Dad was such a lovely man of gentle spirit and humor and great intellect. Know that we care deeply about you and will remember your Dad always through you. "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal
but Love leaves a memory no one can steal".
Much love:
Tim, Laura and Catherine & Brian

Kay -

I was grieved when I read of Fred's passing in the PG.

You and your family have my deepest sympathy. You and Fred are in my prayers; have been for some time.

Please tell "Sis" that I mourn with her also and that she, too, is in my prayers.

Fred was one of my oldest friends; going back to when he moved to Edgemont Street in 1933 or 1934. He will remain in my memory.

I cannot come to Slater's. I had a doctor's appointment this afternoon and I cannot drive at night because of my glaucoma.

The Krause Family: Roxanne and I had the priviledge of taking Fred's computer classes at the Knoxville United Church. He was an excellent teacher. It was an honor. In addition, we had the prividlege of Fred and Kay's company at one of the Knoxville United Churchs' spaghetti dinners. It was a pleasure of being with them both. Our deepest sympathy to all of you and may God bless all of you. Roxanne Dillie and Steve Sortino

Dear members of the Krause family - You are in my thoughts and prayers in this time of your loss. It was an honor for me to have had Dr. Krause as my chemistry teacher at Avonworth High School. He was a fine teacher, valued friend and example. I am most fortunate that our paths crossed.

My deepest sympathies to Fred and the entire Krause family. I can only imagine how difficult a time this is for all of you. I hope over time you will come to find joy in the fine example Dr Krause was of a life well-lived.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss. No matter how much you try to prepare for the loss of a loved one, there is no way to lessen the deep sorrow experienced. I didn't know the good Dr. but I know his son and I can only imagine how great the man must have been to have raised such a fine human being and gentleman as Dr. Krause's son Fred. I am certain the departed was proud beyond words and he should have comfort in knowing what a wonderful legacy will be carried on in his image and name.

Warmest peronal regards,

Dear Mrs. Krause and the Krause family. Please accept my condolences on your loss. When he found out I lived in the Westlake, Ohio area he told me about his favorite restaurant here, the Panorama. I was pleased to tell him that I was the architect. Dr. Krause was a great many things to me and others over my lifetime. Teacher, disciplinarian, mentor, administrator, humorist, leader and , finally, friend.

As a graduate of Avonworth High School, Class of 1955, I will always remember Dr. Krause as one of my favorite teachers. I owe him a debt of gratitude for teaching me that my future in life "was not in his beloved science". He was truly an unforgetable character. He attended our 50th Reunion in 2005, and Nancy and I will treasure the visit we had with him.
