Sorry for your family's loss. Besides knowing him as a youngster, it was great to connect with him as a J.A.C.L alumni.

Dear Joyce,
I am saddened to learn of Fred's passing. I always enjoyed seeing you both whenever you came to the dental office. He always made me smile! He was such a kind person and I loved hearing his stories he'd share about family and travels. I am so sorry for the loss of your best friend and glad to hear you have your family close by. Praying for you during this difficult time and that you feel surrounded with comfort, love and peace.
Sincerely,

Stephanie

Fred was one of the nicest neighbors I have ever had. We had many fun and sometimes serious conversations over our common backyard fence in Galt. Fred and Joyce were so generous, they would call and give me fish when they had caught an abundance that day, or he would holler if he heard me outside and say meet at the fence I just picked cherries from the orchard, there were many other goodies over the years. Fred had a fantastic sense of humor a smile to match. When I was widowed Fred staked a tree for me that was between our homes, I of course did not even realize the tree needed care but he did and helped or offered other times when he saw I might need a good neighbors helping hand. He will be missed by many and my heartfelt sympathies and prayers go out to his loving close knit family.

I’ll always remember Mr Nagata in many positive ways-with a big smile, a great sense of humor, and always great with a story. I was a waitress at the local Japanese restaurant twenty years ago and was always so happy to see Mr. Nagata walk in. I knew that I’d have a great night.
I'm sure your heart is aching and I am so
Sorry for your loss.
My heart goes out to you and your family.

My sincere condolences to your family in your great loss.
I remember one time Fred gave Elizabeth a whole chocolate chip cookie and she shoved that in her mouth real quick. It was so endearing.
Another time, when Elizabeth was hospitalized, Fred looked me straight in the eyes and said "everything will be alright". And it was.
May your memories of Fred stay close to your heart and always bring you comfort.

I’ll always remember Fred volunteering to help our daughter by using his batting cage when she made the reserve squad for sections Christie ( Wahlman) and Amy (Dillingham ) couldn’t travel up with the team to practice in Sacramento. So Fred had them come out and helped them get ready for sections!
Friendly guy!
So proud of his daughter playing for UOP..
We were able to see her play a few times @ home games!
Thoughts and prayers for his family!

We are very sorry to here of Fred’s passing. There are many wonderful memories of dusty softball diamonds when Sara was a young girl playing for the Tremors. Fred always remembered us over the 30 years plus since whether it be farmers market or shopping around town. His legacy will endure.
