My deepest sympathies to the Phillips Family. I have known Freddie and Sandi since childhood from the Temple. It has been a number of years since seeing Sandi, but we were in the same class throughout school years. I did have a chance to visit with Freddie a few years back and he hadn't changed since we were youngsters. My thoughts are with all of his Family and especially Sandi.

My name is John Corneal. I am the builder of the SubSonex Fred was flying. I met Fred through the sale last year and we became friends. A wonderful soul with a big heart it was a joy to spend time with him. I found the enjoyment of sipping Tequila through Fred!
Following the tragic loss of Electra it was heart warming to see the joy he experienced flying the jet. I felt it couldn’t have found a better home then in the company of Fred. It is heart breaking to lose a friend and my baby at the same time.
I gain comfort in knowing Fred is now at peace in the hands of God and reunited with Electra.
May God grant each of us understanding and peace.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Fred several times and get to know him somewhat. His love of life was infectious! I am sure I am not the only one who has been positively impacted by Fred and will strive to enjoy life to the fullest as a result. All the best to his family and friend during this difficult time.

Mr. Phillips was our neighbor. We really didn't know him well but he stopped by the house one day and said he would take me for a ride in his next sports car that was soon to come in. He was soo nice and friendly. I wish we had known him better. We're sending our deepest condolences and love to his family!! Fly high Mr. Philips, you will be missed.

I did not know Fred but I did know the family a little, years ago; his sister Sandi was in my class at Byrd. My heart hurts for Fred's family and friends, but what a beautiful legacy he left. I hope they draw comfort from the memories and from each other.

Freddie was a great person. I always enjoyed interacting with him about the airport. In my 20 plus years with the airport authority there was no bigger supporter of Shreveport's airports. The city, the airport, and the aviation community will miss him.

I was fortunate enough to have met Freddie in the 90’s, through my friend, Electra. He was the smartest, funniest, kindest, nonjudgmental & generous man I’d ever met. It will always be my greatest honor to be able to call Freddie my friend. I can imagine Freddie & Electra dancing in the sky-reunited again. My sincere condolences to the Phillips family in this time of great loss. He touched so so many lives and will truly be missed. His light and legacy will long live on. You all will remain in my thoughts and prayers. Fly High Freddie, Fly High! ❤

My heart breaks along side all whom loved Fred. He was a funny, smart, risk taker and was strong and dedicated. I learned a lot from him and will continue to do so. Godspeed, Freddy. BSBD.

I got to summit Kilimanjaro with his son, Cassidy, back in 2013 and I now have a fuller understanding and respect for his family and how he was raised into the man he is today. Cassidy and family: may our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ show himself ever so close to you in this time as he is always step by step. “Pamoja- Pamoja”

I am truly saddened to learn of Freddie’s death. I knew him because of my close relationship with Susie Bell and her family. I spent many times at their home on Cross Lake. My prayers to him and his family.
