I am so sorry for your loss. My Mom and Dad thought a lot of Fred. I recall Mom making Bagels (I think it was bagels) to say Happy Hanukkah each year. After my father died, Fred made a likeness of our Lutheran church out of stained glass. That meant so very much to Mom. I am the keeper of the stained glass church now.
My our God bless you all with warm memories and the comfort of Holy grace.

Dear Mrs Pinkus and Family:
My parents always spoke with fondness and appreciation of the friendship you and Fred showed them during their early years in Williamsburg. My personal "visual" of Fred is of him striding across the road between the office and the shop. What we remember most of Fred is that through all his successes, it never changed his kind and witty personality: the man never forgot his roots. Even when we would meet occasionally along the Canal in recent years, he always had time to talk and ask about family. Our condolences to you and your family in this time of loss.

Our deepest sympathy to the family.
His smiling face and his friendly ways will be missed. Fred was always ready to give you a good deal from behind his business counter in Williamsburg. We only heard about his death today (Sunday).

Leona and family. So sorry to hear the news. My sister called me from
Montreal this evening and told me.
I got into the internet myself to see
if I could contact you at all. If anyone has wonderful memories of Fred and you ---- I do. I go back
many years --- but think of everyone
now and then.
Would love to hear from you.

We just received notice of Fred's passing and send our regrets that we missed his funeral and personally expressing our condolences to the family.
The image of Fred behind his counter at work will remain in our minds for ever. That quick mind, the cheerfulness and that display of enthusiastic energy made Fred the type of businessman you trusted, respected and will always remember.
To the family, especially Mark whom we know well, let me only say that it was our pleasure to have known Fred - He was a great man.

Dear Gloria,
What an amazing man your father was. I have such wonderful memories of our highschool and nursing years together. Freddie was never without a joke. Your home was always so welcoming and full of laughter. He was so very proud of you. I would sometimes run into Freddie and Leona at the hospital and we would have a chance to catch up on things.

Treasure those special memories...they will last forever.

Please extend my heartfelt sympathy to your Mom and family.

Thinking of you all,
Sally

Leona and family:

Fred was an exceptional individual. I remember his kindness to me. He always sponsored sports teams in Williamsburg, donated to all the community events and sponsored any and all neighbourhood children in all manner of fundraising activities. He was always smiling and was friendly to everyone. He will certainly be missed.

Fred, was a very close and personnel friend of my parents(Garnet and Audrey Barkley). I have many fond memories of going over to his garage in Williamsburg with my dad to sit and visit while having peanuts and coke for my treats.
He will be sadly missed in our community.
