Beloved husband of Joan Breining Risberg and the late Ella Mae Risberg (nee Crawford); dear father and father-in-law of William (Terry) Risberg of Springfield, MO and John Frederick (Mary) Risberg; dear step-father of Michael (Cary) Breining of Palm Coast, FL, Judith Breining, Carol (David) Bender and Kathy (Aboud) Afifi of Columbia, MO; dear grandfather of Michael, Patrick (Kristen), David and Thomas Risberg, Nadia and Laila Afifi, David Frederick, Mark Aulden and Christopher Louis Bender; our dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many. Mr. Risberg served in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in W.W.II and worked at Granite City Steel for many years. He was a 50 year member of Algonquin Golf Club where "Gin Rummy" was his game. He was an avid fisherman and world traveler. The Risberg family extends a grateful thanks to Sue Sullivan of Unity Hospice and the loving nurses at Mari de Villa.Services: Funeral from the ORTMANN-STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Fri., Jan. 12, 9:30 a.m. to St. Anselm Church for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment Bellerive Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Juvenile Diabetes or Visitation Academy appreciated. Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
