I had the pleasure to work for DR Sattler in 1975 m. I truly admired his phenomenal knowledge, he was thought, patient, and had a mind of a genius ♥

Dear Elizabeth:
Carolyn and I just learned of Fred's passing. We are very sadden by the news. Carolyn and I still talk about the time you came to our home in Cohasset Mass. for dinner in the early seventies. We had hosted the members of the newly formed Critical Care Society including Bob Knowles and Bill Whittick who were also in attendance.
If I achieved anything in Veterinary Medicine related to Trauma and Critical Care, it was because of Fred's influence!! He taught me so much and was a fabulous mentor. He always had time for me and readily introduced me to icons in both human and veterinary medicine. Without his help I never would have achieved my goals in practice or teaching in our Specialty.
Take care; be well. It's Zaslow
